Numbers in a dream reflect the evolution of a thought - As we already know, reasoning is the power of the conscious mind. The conscious mind uses the 5 senses to experience physical life. Without the 5 physical senses we would have no way of knowing that we exist within this physical reality. Each hand has 5 fingers, each foot has 5 toes, the human body has 5 limbs. Our physical reality is made up of 5 elements – fire, water, earth, air, energy [etheric energy]. The number 5 is firmly rooted throughout our entire physical existence. Now that we are grounded and rooted within the 4 we can analyze our surroundings and begin to understand through logic how to create and manifest the thought desired. With our example of the job we can now begin to use reason to examine what type of job would be more preferable, would an internal move satisfy our needs, do we need to go to a new company, start our own company. Could we relocate to a new geographical location that has greater opportunities or less costs etc. Our reasoning mind is now engaged in ways to create and manifest the desired thought. When a 5 shows up in the dream it is calling for you to engage the power of the conscious mind and utilize reasoning to further progress toward your goals. The context of the dream will give more direction as to where your reasoning power is needed. One of the greatest ways to engage the power of the conscious mind, and ultimately open the door to the power of the subconscious mind, intuition, is through a stream of consciousness writing. This is where you grab a pen and paper and begin to physically write about the topic at hand until you have absolutely nothing left to write on the paper. This could take 10 or 15 minutes, or could take up to an hour. You will want to write everything you can think of about any problems or issues revolving around your topic, write about any thoughts or emotions you have about it. You will want to write out any questions revolving around the topic that are still in your mind. Write any answer you can think could even possibly be an answer to that question. You want to literally write any thought that you could possibly have on the topic. This will maximize the reasoning power and completely exhaust the conscious mind. This is what will then open the door to the power of the subconscious mind, intuition.
