Dream Symbol · Universal Language of Mind
conscious mind (see 2nd floor, 3rd floor/attic, and basement)
Most buildings in a dream will either have 3 floors or less, OR they will be a large building like a hotel, mall, dorm, skyscraper or hospital which will reflect the Universal Mind. The 3 stories of a house will reflect the 3 divisions of the mind. The 3rd floor or the attic will represent the superconscious mind. The roof will also represent the superconscious mind. The second floor will represent the subconscious mind, and the first floor will represent the conscious mind. The conscious mind is the mind that our consciousness uses within this 3 dimensional physical reality. The conscious mind within the physical reality is the furthest plane of existence from the Real Self. This physical reality holds a strong illusion of separation. The duty of the conscious mind is to have life experiences. This is because these life experiences provide us the rich opportunity to truly learn from the experiences we have. When we understand things in deeper ways from what we learn in life, we are one step closer to fulfilling the purpose of the conscious mind within our physical lives. The purpose of the conscious mind is to feed these understandings into the soul to be stored within our subconscious mind where we have built up a storehouse of wisdom over lifetimes. The power of the conscious mind is reasoning. The three keys to reasoning are Imagination – Attention – and Memory. Memory allows us to understand what we have been through, our attention allows us to understand what we are experiencing in the present moment, and our imagination allows us to understand what is possible for us to experience in the future.
When you have a dream on the 1st floor you are being called to give your attention to the conscious mind. The conscious mind is your aggressive waking mind that you are most familiar with.
