Hammer

In the Language of Mind, a hammer is a mental tool for deliberately building and re-shaping the structure of your own mind. Read its form and function: a hammer is a held tool that delivers concentrated force to one exact point, driving nails to join materials into structure or striking to break a thing apart. So when one appears, your subconscious is naming a faculty you carry for focused inner work, attention and will brought down hard on a single spot to either construct a new mental framework or demolish an old belief that no longer holds. Examine where in your waking life you are doing this kind of focused work on yourself, and notice the variations. Building, framing, nailing things together = you are consciously assembling a new way of being, joining understandings into something that will stand. Smashing or demolishing with it = an old structure of belief is being struck down so a truer one can be raised in its place, which is change, not destruction. That is one tool, read clean. The wall it strikes, the house being built around it, the hands that hold it are all still speaking.
