In the Language of Mind, an illustration is a visualized image — a thought your imagination has deliberately drawn out and made visible so an idea can be understood. Look at its form and function: an illustration is a picture made on purpose to depict or explain something words alone cannot, and a picture made on purpose is exactly what your conscious mind does when it uses imagination to give a desire a clear, seeable form. So when an illustration appears, your subconscious is showing you that you are actively visualizing — picturing an idea, a goal, a version of yourself — and asking how clearly and how intentionally you are drawing it.

Examine where in your waking life you are imaging your future on purpose rather than drifting. Read the variations: a vivid, finished illustration = a desire you have visualized with clarity and conviction; a faint, half-drawn, or smudged one = an idea still vague, not yet given sharp enough form to manifest; illustrating something yourself = you taking conscious authorship of what you create. That is one symbol, read clean. The book it sat in, the hand that drew it, the page it filled are still speaking.
