limitations / personal limiting belief
'Jail' in a dream represents limitations and personal limiting beliefs. A jail is a place of confinement -- a structure designed to restrict freedom and control movement. In the Universal Language of the Mind, jail reflects the thoughts and beliefs within your own mind that are imprisoning you and restricting your freedom. The bars of your jail are your own limiting beliefs. "I can't do that." "That's not possible for someone like me." "I don't deserve it." "It's too late." These are the sentences -- and notice that the word sentence has a double meaning -- that keep you confined. You have been sentenced by your own thoughts. Pay attention to the conditions of the jail. Are you locked in with no way out, reflecting deeply held limiting beliefs? Are the bars weak or the door unlocked, indicating that the limitations you
perceive are not as strong as you think? Are you being released, suggesting that you are in the process of freeing yourself from old limiting beliefs? When jail shows up in your dream, it is an urgent call to identify and dismantle the beliefs that are imprisoning you. You are the prisoner AND the jailer. The key to your freedom is a change in thinking. Challenge every belief that tells you what you cannot do. Replace it with what you can do. Your freedom has always been in your own hands.
