In the Language of Mind, judgment is not condemnation — it is the act of discernment, the mind weighing one thing against another to choose a direction. Look at its form and function: to judge is to set two things on a scale and measure them, and that is exactly what your reasoning faculty does, taking the memory of the past and the imagination of the future and weighing them in the present to decide. So when judgment runs through your dream, your subconscious is showing you a place where you are evaluating, sorting the worthy from the unworthy, deciding what gets to become part of you. Examine where in your waking life you are standing at the scale right now, what choice is being weighed and whether you are weighing it with clarity or with fear.

Read the variations closely. If you are the one passing judgment, this is your own reasoning power discriminating between paths — a call to choose consciously rather than drift. But if you stand judged before a robed figure, a judge, that authority is never an outside person: a judge, like any elder, mentor, or police officer, is your superconscious mind, the inner teacher reflecting the Universal Laws back to you — not punishing you, but showing you the cause you set in motion meeting its effect. Notice whether you feel condemned or counseled; that tells you how you currently perceive your own higher self. That is one symbol, read clean. The courtroom it stood in, the figures filling the seats, the verdict spoken — those are still speaking.
