Letter

A 'Letter' in a dream represents communication with the self. A letter is a written message from one person to another. Since every person in a dream represents an aspect of your consciousness, a letter reflects a message being communicated from one part of yourself to another.

This is significant. Your inner self is trying to tell your outer self something -- or vice versa. There is information being formally communicated within your consciousness that requires your attention. A letter is intentional and deliberate -- it was composed with care and sent with purpose. Pay attention to whether you are reading the letter, writing it, or receiving it. Reading reflects that you are receiving an inner message. Writing indicates that you are composing a message to yourself -- perhaps making a declaration or commitment. Receiving but not reading suggests that there is an important inner communication that you have not yet opened yourself to. When a letter shows up in your dream, it is calling for you to pay attention to the messages you are receiving from within. Your subconscious mind and superconscious mind are constantly communicating with you -- through dreams, through intuition, through gut feelings.
