Riding

In the Language of Mind, riding is not idle motion — it is you consciously directing the force that carries you toward a goal. Look at form and function: to ride is to mount something that moves and to steer it, to sit in the seat of control while power does the carrying. Riding smoothly, in command, means waking will and inner momentum are working as one; being thrown, bucked, or unable to steer means a part of you is moving you in a direction your conscious self hasn't agreed to.
