Fog

In the Language of Mind, fog is awareness obscured — conscious life experience hanging in the air so thickly that you can no longer see clearly ahead. Look at its form and function: fog is water (your lived experience) suspended as fine droplets at ground level, and what it does is cut down the light — it doesn't remove what surrounds you, it just keeps you from perceiving it. So when fog rolls into a dream, your subconscious is showing you an area of waking life where experience has clouded your perception: you are moving, but you cannot see far enough to know where the path leads. Examine where you feel uncertain right now — a decision, a relationship, a direction — somewhere the facts are all present but your clarity is not.

Read the variations. Thick, blinding fog = experience so unprocessed that you've lost sight of your own next step; thinning fog with light breaking through = understanding beginning to return, awareness burning the confusion off. Notice whether you're standing still in it or pushing forward anyway — that tells you how you meet the unknown. That is one symbol, read clean. The road it sits on (your chosen path), the light trying to pierce it (your awareness), the figure you half-see through it — all are still speaking. Your subconscious talks to you every night in this exact language; CHITTA is simply where you learn to read the rest of the sentence. Go within, or go without.
