In the Language of Mind, a lesson is the understanding your subconscious is pressing you to extract from lived experience. Look at its form and function: a lesson is something taught and meant to be assimilated, and what does the mind do but break experience down, digest it, and absorb the usable part as permanent understanding. So a dreamed lesson is your inner Self naming a specific piece of wisdom that experience has been trying to deliver — and measuring how much of it you have actually taken in. Examine where in your waking life the same situation keeps arriving: that repetition is not bad luck, it is the curriculum. A lesson learned with ease points to understanding already absorbed; a lesson that feels too hard, or one you are failing, signals a life-truth still undigested, asking you to strengthen your mental tools — attention, memory, imagination — so you can finally receive it. Notice the setting too: a classroom or school is a learning state of mind, a test is your subconscious checking how much of the lesson has truly landed, and a grade you have already passed but find yourself repeating means there is more in it than you first took. That is one symbol read clean — the teacher who delivered it, the room it happened in, the number on the page are all still speaking.
