You Are Busy. Nothing You Want Is Moving.

Full days, every day, and you could not say which of today's hours moved a single thing you actually want. That is not a discipline problem. It is a problem of having never named the targets.

✦ The Problem

Desire That Was Never Written Down Cannot Be Acted On

Most people carry their wants as a mood rather than a list. A mood cannot be ordered, cannot be checked against a Tuesday afternoon, and cannot tell you that the thing you spent four hours on today serves nothing on it.

✦ How It Works

Ten Things, In Order, For The Next Ninety Days

You name the ten things you want most over the next ninety days and put them in priority order. That ordered list does two jobs at once: it becomes the thing you rehearse nightly in detail, and it becomes the measure you hold today's hours against.

It sets where the energy goes

Ordered wants make an energy audit possible: what you did today can be checked against what you said you wanted, and the gap stops being a feeling and becomes a fact you can act on tomorrow.

Nightly rehearsal gives the subconscious a blueprint

Visualising each item in full sensory detail is how a desire is handed to the subconscious mind in a form it can work with. Imagination is a power of the conscious mind, and this is the exercise that trains it on something you actually want.

It harmonises with the Universal Laws

The thirteen Universal Laws describe how a thought becomes a thing. A vague want sits outside them; a named, ordered, rehearsed want is a thought shaped well enough for the laws to carry.

✦ What It Is Worth

Desire Becomes A Plan Your Mind Is Already Working On

Once the list exists, two things change the same week. Your days acquire a filter, because you can finally tell a productive hour from a busy one. And your nights acquire a job, because the mind that dreams is now working on something you named on purpose instead of whatever the day left lying around.

Questions People Ask First

Is the Ten Most Wanted list free?

Yes. It was previously part of the Academy Foundation and opened in Week 6. It is now available to every account, free, from the day you sign up.

How is this different from a goal list?

A goal list records intentions. This one is ordered by priority, rehearsed nightly in sensory detail, and used as the measure for where today's energy went — so it works on the subconscious and on the calendar at the same time.

Why ninety days?

Long enough that something real can move, short enough that you can still picture the end of it. A want with no horizon never becomes urgent, and one with too short a horizon gets abandoned as unrealistic.
