In the Language of Mind, eyes are not about how others judge you or some hidden vanity — they are perception and awareness itself, the faculty through which you take in reality. Look at form and function: the eye is the organ that receives light and turns it into sight; light, in the language of mind, is awareness. So the eyes are how consciously you are seeing your own life right now — what you let yourself notice and what you keep in the dark. When eyes fill your dream, your subconscious is showing you the quality of your seeing. Examine where in your waking life you are truly looking, and where you have quietly looked away. Read the variations cleanly: eyes wide open = awareness, you are conscious of something important and asked to keep facing it; eyes closed, blind, or unable to see = unawareness, a truth your sight is shut against; and another's eyes turned on you = an aspect of yourself watching, asking to be witnessed honestly. That is one symbol, read clean — but the dream around it, the face those eyes sat in, the light or darkness of the room, is still speaking.
