Fever

In the Language of Mind, a fever is not a warning about your body — it is the mind in the act of burning off an unproductive thought. Look at its form and function: a fever is heat the body raises on purpose, and that heat's job is to make the inner environment hostile to what doesn't belong, so the invader is destroyed and ease returns. Illness itself, in ULM, is negative thinking hardened into an unproductive attitude or belief; fever is the corrective fire turned up against it. Fire is purification and expansion — it consumes and refines to a finer form — so a rising temperature mirrors your own consciousness heating up to dissolve a thought-pattern that has been working against your wholeness. Examine where in your waking life something has gone out of ease, and what self-criticism, fear, or resentment your inner Self is now generating the heat to release. Notice the variation: a fever that breaks and cools = a draining belief finally let go, harmony restored; a fever that climbs and rages = a pattern you keep feeding, the inner correction intensifying until you receive the message. The body you were sick in is your state of mind, and whoever tended you is an aspect of your own teaching Self — still speaking. Your subconscious talks to you every night in this exact language; CHITTA is simply where you learn to read the rest of the sentence. Go within, or go without.
