Floor

A 'Floor' in a dream represents the separation between the inner levels of the mind. Like a ceiling, a floor is a boundary between two levels within a building. In the Universal Language of the Mind, the floors of a house represent the divisions of the mind -- the first floor is the conscious mind, the second floor is the subconscious mind, and the third floor is the superconscious mind. The floor itself is the boundary that separates one level from another.

Pay attention to which floor you are standing on and what is above or below you. Standing on the first floor with the second floor above you reflects your current position in the conscious mind with the subconscious mind accessible above. Are you aware of the floor, or are you passing through it? Is the floor solid, or is it cracking or transparent? When a floor shows up in your dream, it is reflecting your awareness of the boundary between your current level of consciousness and the next. This boundary exists, but it is not permanent. Through persistent practice of concentration, meditation, and dream work, you can learn to move freely between the levels of your mind. The floor is not a barrier -- it is a threshold.
