Mine/Mining

'Mining' in a dream represents the effort and activity directed toward going deeper and deeper into the subconscious mind. A mine is a shaft dug into the earth to extract something valuable -- gold, silver, gems, or other precious materials. In the Universal Language of the Mind, the earth represents the subconscious mind. Mining, then, is the deliberate effort to dig deep within your subconscious to extract the valuable wisdom, insights, and understandings stored there. This is active, effortful work. Mining requires tools, determination, and persistence. You do not simply find treasure by standing on the surface -- you must dig. This reflects the effort required to access the deeper levels of your subconscious mind through dream interpretation, meditation, and concentrated inner work. When mining shows up in your dream, it is affirming that you are engaged in -- or need to begin -- the deep inner work of self-exploration. There is gold within you. There are treasures of wisdom buried in the deep levels of your subconscious mind. Keep digging. The effort you invest in going deeper will yield returns of immeasurable value.
