Ignoring the messages within the dreamers over and over
'Nightmares' represent the result of ignoring the messages within your dreams over and over. A nightmare is not random. It is not a punishment. It is your subconscious mind escalating the intensity of its communication because the gentler messages have been ignored. Your subconscious mind communicates with you every single night through your dreams. When you do not listen -- when you do not record, interpret, or act upon the messages -- the subconscious turns up the volume. The messages become more intense, more emotional, more frightening. Nightmares are the subconscious mind using fear and intense emotion to force you to pay attention to something you have been refusing to look at.
Two conditions create nightmares: being out of control in your thinking and refusing to learn from your experiences. When your thoughts are running wild and undirected, and when the same life lessons keep presenting themselves without being learned, the subconscious escalates. When nightmares occur, it is an urgent call to take your dream work seriously. Start recording your dreams. Begin interpreting them using the Universal Language of the Mind. Identify the messages your subconscious has been sending and act upon them. Practice concentration to gain control over your thinking. The moment you begin listening and learning, the nightmares will cease -- because the subconscious no longer needs to scream when you are paying attention.
