Funeral

In the Language of Mind a funeral is never about literal death — death is INNER CHANGE, the ending of an old way of being so a new one can be born. Look at the form and function: a funeral is the ritual humans hold to formally acknowledge, mourn, and lay to rest something that has already died. So when your subconscious stages a funeral, it is not warning you about losing anyone — it is showing you that a transformation has already happened inside you, and inviting the conscious "you" to finally recognize it, honor it, and let the old self go. Examine where in your waking life an old identity, belief, or habit has quietly run its course and is now asking to be released rather than clung to. Read the variations: whose funeral it is tells you which aspect of self has transformed — your own funeral points to a deep change in your core identity, a parent or elder's points to a shift in how you relate to your own inner authority. Notice your feeling in it too — grief here is the road-sign that the change is real, while peace signals you have already made your peace with who you used to be. That is one symbol read clean; the building it was held in is the state of your mind, the people gathered are other aspects of you witnessing the change.
